On May 14, the House Committee on the Judiciary will hold a hearing targeting Fairfax County’s Trust Policy — a policy designed to protect immigrant communities, strengthen public safety, and ensure local resources remain focused on serving residents rather than advancing federal immigration enforcement.
The hearing is part of a broader national effort to challenge local policies that support immigrant families and build trust between communities and local government.
At a time when anti-immigrant rhetoric and misinformation continue to spread, our community must come together in support of dignity, inclusion, and safety for all. We expect this hearing to amplify narratives rooted in fear and division rather than facts, but our community understands that true public safety depends on trust — not scapegoating.
📢 Now is the time to speak out.
✊🏽 Now is the time to stand together.
🛡️ Now is the time to defend policies that help immigrant communities feel safe seeking help, reporting crimes, and accessing services without fear.
We invite Fairfax County residents, advocates, and allies to rally and pack the hearing room in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. Together, we can send a clear message: our communities reject fearmongering and stand united for justice, compassion, and belonging.
