Internships

Nearly 1,000 interns have participated in Ayuda’s highly respected internship and training program. Several have applied for jobs at Ayuda thereafter and joined our talented staff. Ayuda accepts undergraduate and graduate (including law and social work) students as interns. Ayuda internships are unpaid, but Ayuda is willing to assist the student in applying for externship/field placement credit and/or fellowships. All legal and social service interns have the opportunity to work directly with clients.

Ayuda internships tend to follow the school year calendar: fall semester, spring semester, and summer. Interns during the academic school year are generally required to work at least 16 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for 10–12 weeks. Summer interns are required to work 30–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for a minimum of 10 weeks.
