Washington, D.C. (January 21, 2025) – Ayuda stands in strong opposition to the series of executive orders signed on January 20, 2025, that threaten the rights and well-being of immigrant families across the nation.

These actions undermine the safety, dignity, and futures of vulnerable populations, including children, survivors of domestic violence, and other individuals seeking protection and stability in the United States.

At Ayuda, we work tirelessly to provide legal and social services, language access, resources, and support to immigrants in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, ensuring that they have access to justice and protection.

These executive actions not only increase fear and uncertainty among immigrant families but also impose additional barriers to their ability to access critical support systems, including healthcare, education, and legal assistance.

As an organization dedicated to supporting immigrant families, we are deeply concerned about the harm these policies will cause. Children and families who already face immense challenges in their lives will now face even greater hurdles, as these orders push them further into the shadows and away from the help they desperately need.

We join our partners, such as the ACLU, in condemning the administration’s orders. While we continue to advocate for systemic change, Ayuda remains committed to providing immediate and vital services to those impacted by these orders.
