Jeff Brown retired as a Partner of Capital Group in 2019 after a 30+ year career, having risen from research analyst to portfolio manager to Chief Investment Strategist, a role he held for the final decade of his tenure. He began his career in Capital Group’s Washington, DC office before relocating to the firm’s Los Angeles headquarters in 2002.  

Since 2019, Jeff has served as a keynote speaker and geopolitical strategist through Political Economy, LLC, advising multinational companies and select investment managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms on the intersection of politics and markets. He is currently launching Brown Media, LLC, an independent ideas platform exploring political economy, institutions, and the long-term forces shaping the global economy.  

Jeff serves as Board Chair of CFM Partners and as a member of the advisory board of Nanocrine Inc. He is also active in the nonprofit sector as a board member of Ayuda and as Chair of a standing committee of the Private Directors Association.
