Medhini is the Associate Director of Communications at Ayuda, where she helps lead Ayuda’s digital and media strategy and uplift the diverse stories of our immigrant neighbors in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Medhini brings over a decade of communications experience to the team, spanning human rights reporting, international humanitarian assistance, and climate advocacy.  

Growing up in an immigrant family gave her a firsthand understanding of the resilience required to navigate systems not built for everyone — a perspective that directly shapes her approach to narrative-building and community advocacy.  

She holds a B.A. in Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies from Emory University and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University, proving you really can do anything with a liberal arts degree. Outside of work, you can usually find Medhini exploring D.C. by bike, deep in a book, or saying hi to every dog she sees.
